Born in Cleveland, Ohio to a Chinese-Filipino father and an Italian-American mother, Christina moved to Maryland with her family when she was still a baby. Growing up in Ellicott City, she loved performing in plays and musicals, and amusing friends and family with her stupid human tricks and ability to ham it up in nearly any situation. After graduating from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!), she worked in downtown DC for several years before joining Travel Channel in 2006. A year and a half later, her team decided to hire a geeky new research analyst…
Born in Mitchell, South Dakota to a friendly, unsuspecting Indian couple, Nikhil grew up in the Midwest winning hearts, minds, and trivia competitions. (He actually won the state geography bee two years in a row!) After learning that there were no girls at his engineering school, he fled to and graduated from the University of South Dakota (Go ‘Yotes!). He then spent a year in India as an economics nerd, a year at NYU as a political nerd (Go…Violets?), and left for DC looking for politics and instead finding love—as the geeky new research analyst at Travel Channel.
…So it was only fitting that this multi-cultural couple should finally meet at Travel Channel, where they could bond over their shared love of far-off adventures and exotic foods, and eventually vow to travel through life together.
Nikhil currently resides in Brooklyn, New York and has worked for the past year and a half as a digital research analyst for Food Network. Still in market research, Christina has lived and worked in the DC area for nearly a decade, but will soon be relocating to her new life and home in Brooklyn.
